The Internet Is Offering New Business Opportunities Like Never Before

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

The world is in crisis because we are going through a fundamental change in what drives the economy and people don’t know what to do. As when the Great Depression ushered in the Industrial Revolution in the first part of the 20th century, the current depression is marking the beginning of the information society.

There is always massive upheaval in countries that experience a large market driving change. It usually means a lot of displacement. This is what is happening now as millions of people are watching their jobs vanish. The only people who profit during this time will be the ones who understand what is going on and know how to profit from it.

We are just now seeing the potential of internet business opportunities for people who are willing to put the time and effort in to learning how internet marketing works and what needs to be done in order to find success. If you are looking for a new opportunity then start learning all you can now. This medium is going to absolutely revolutionize how we do business.

First off, think about the potential markets that have opened up. There are a few billion people with web access right now and thousands more are getting online each day. The numbers of people who are active on the web is absolutely staggering.

Every time we talk about one billion people that represents 1000 groups containing one million people each. Most people would kill for a market of one million people yet the web actually provides us with thousands of these markets. With this number of customers if you can’t find a business to feed this market you are really trying.

The large number of people on the internet and the ability to reach them has made niche marketing a very viable option. Niche marketing means the business owner target a small sub-group of people with in a larger market. This makes it easier to find sales messages that resonate with this niche. You are no longer trying to create marketing plans that offer broad appeal. Instead, you can be very focused.

But what is interesting is the large numbers of people online allow you to find niche markets that may contain a few million people. And with the ease of building websites you can actually very easily target even smaller micro-niches of potential customers. You can, for example, target very tight markets because they are easy to reach. Instead of selling to dog owners you could actually sell to owners of only the female dogs of a certain sub-breed. It is much easier to write sales material when you have a very targeted audience.

With the power and reach of the internet it is now feasible to reach these markets where before it would cost too much to target small groups of people. Also, even the small sub-niches can contain several thousand or a million people. You can now build a business just trying to reach these particular people.

The days of massive factories containing thousands of workers making good wages are long gone. If you plan to succeed in this new economy you will have to become flexible and learn new skills. One of the best areas to concentrate on is learning how to work with an online business opportunity.

Starting a business has never been easier. With the internet you now have the means to use an online business opportunity to reach millions of potential customers. Make a committment to yourself today to start finding your making money business.

Thinking About Starting An Internet Business

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

So you are thinking about starting an online business, because you can’t earn enough from your job. Here are a few things you should think about before you get started.

The biggest thing you need to consider is if you are going to buy one of the programs online for earning money, or if you are going to create your own product and build your own website?

Purchasing a program online for starting your internet business could be a good choice, just be cautious, there are a lot of people who will take your money and give you a program that just doesn’t work.

Please don’t think that everyone online is out to rip you off. There are some great programs that were created by honest people. It is just hard to find the real programs. To find a proven program, just go to Google and do a search for “start an internet business, review” and you should find a good review site of online businesses.

If you are just too cautious and wont buy any program online, then your only other choice is to build your own website and promote your own products or become an affiliate and promote other people products for a cut of the profits. FYI, with your own website you can indexed and ranked in the search engines and get some great traffic from them.

Once you choose which avenue you are going to follow when starting your online business, make sure you come up with a plan of action and follow it to the letter.

Once you come up with a plan, get started. If you decided to buy a program make sure to follow everything they tell you to do, these programs work because it is a proven system, if you don’t follow the system, it won’t work for you.

Now if you choose to start your own website and sell products from it, there are some simple steps to get up and running. First you need to find web hosting and choose a domain name, find products that you can sell on your site. Build your site and start driving traffic to your new website. Now your up and running.

Earning extra money online can change your life for the better if you stick with it.

How to Make The Most Effective Video on Your Squeeze Page

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Internet marketers or online businesses often use a squeeze page, which is a landing page to invite visitors to sign in to access products or further information. In exchange of his contact details, the visitor is granted access to another website or page, and in the process has become a ‘lead’ or potential buyer.

Various elements can influence whether your visitors convert into leads, however using a video in a squeeze page has statistically shown to positively affect conversion rates. The written content and design of your website may of course influence your visitor’s response, but a video also offers 2 additional benefits: 1. It makes your page ’sticky’, which means that it retains your visitor’s attention and 2. It builds trust, by showing that you are a real person and revealing your character.

Here are some recommendations on what to say in your squeeze page video to enable your visitors to connect with you and generate leads:

1. Show your visitor that he is at the right place by addressing their situation or need. In order to be able to do this, you must know the attributes of people visiting your site and identify your target market (the particular visitors you want to attract). Tell your visitor what you know about them, about what they are looking for, their current situation, or how they are feeling. Avoid blunt assumptions however, be tactful (you don’t actually ‘know’ them!). Use words like ‘maybe’ and ‘probably’, and ask questions, to encourage your visitors to identify for themselves how they relate to you and what you are offering. Some examples are: “Do you need…”, “Do you wish you could…”, “Are you tired of…”, “Maybe you are looking for…”.

2. Introduce your personal story.
Your visitor is now ready to truly connect with you and your story. Your brief story that is, keep it short and sweet, using one or two sentences to describe your situation, feelings or frustrations before you found the solution.

3. Introduce your solution.
Your visitor now trusts you and can relate to your story, and can’t wait to hear your solution! You can now say that you found a solution, and give some general information about your product or opportunity. Keep it short, sweet and intriguing so that your visitor will want to sign in and find out more!

4. Conclude your personal story.
Where are you now? What have you achieved now that you have the solution? How has this product or opportunity changed how you live or work or play? What are the major perks or benefits (e.g. “I received all the training I needed”, “I received a great discount”, “I make a great income”, “This product is easy to use”, etc)? Remember who your niche market is, these outcomes need to resonate with what your visitor is looking for.

5. Call to action (entering their details) and what’s in it for them.
Tell your visitor what you want him to do (i.e. sign in), and what he will receive if he does. Make sure you offer something valuable to your visitor; a free report, a phone call, more information and resources, a special discount or offer, etc. Use words that give some urgency, such as ‘now’, ‘right away, ‘today’ or ‘instantly’.

Finally, I have 8 practical tips on making the perfect video:

1. Use quality audio and video resolution and reduce background noise.
2. Make your setting consistent with what you are selling (e.g. at the beach if you are selling lifestyle, in your home office if you have a home business, at the marina if you provide boat services, or even just a plain wall if you want the viewer to focus on your message only). Have a background which is tidy and free of distraction for the viewer.
3. Smile! Be welcoming, pleasant and enthusiastic. Convey the right image by dressing accordingly, be yourself and still make an effort!
4. Keep it short and concise. 1-3 minutes is just right.
5. Do some editing to create smooth transitions between your screens if applicable. For example, using fade in and out or other transition effects will give your video a professional feel. Make sure you don’t overwhelm or distract the viewer with too many special effects or flashy tricks!
6. As a conclusion to your video, use a screen with your contact details or website address. You can also repeat your call to action in writing, while using a motivating soundtrack.
7. Have your video start automatically upon the page opening (auto-start). Your visitor will start hearing your message instantly and will be drawn to watch and listen to you.
8. Place your opt-in box next to your video, so that your visitor can easily locate it and respond to your call to action.

Simple Steps To Increase Web Profits

Whatever Your Visitors Want, Give it to Them

Too often web designers make a web site that only contain fluff. The problem is, visitors don’t come to your site to wast time, but usually have a distinct purpose. Don’t give them what they want, and they are gone!

Its simple in theory to keep your visitors on your site because all you have to do is, “Give them what they want.” To do this though you must answer the following question, “What do my visitors want?” To answer this question, you’ll need to research the following three sub-questions: Who are your visitors? What attracted them to your site originally? What do they want when they come to your site? Knowing more about your visitors, what attracted them to your site and what they are looking for on your site makes it easier to retain them and keep them coming back for more.

You can learn more about your customer in two ways, by just asking them and by installing analytic software like Google Analytics. Both are highly recommended because both provide information that the other cannot. This information is like gold because it becomes a catalyst to providing quality content that keeps your visitors coming back for more.

Bring in More Traffic

By catering to your customers needs you’ll see an increase in traffic from past visitors returning to your site. But by extending your marketing reach you can compound the number of visitors your site will receive. In this section we talk about some of the most important traffic building methods used by professionals each day.

If you want immediate traffic now, Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is the way to go. I offer a fair warning though, carelessness and lack of expertise can lead to a waste of your money. If you are new to PPC advertising we recommended to use a budget of $5 or less a day and use one of the most popular PPC systems: Google Adwords. One great benefit of using Google Adwords is that it connects directly to Google Analytics for extra detailed reporting. If done right, you’ll find PPC advertising as a very valuable tool in bringing in new sales every month.

Albeit a slow method, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a necessary tool for the traffic hungry enthusiast and to build your website profits. In a short definition, SEO is about bringing relevant traffic from search engines (Like Google) to your website. The more valuable, unique and search engine friendly your content on your website is the more traffic you’ll see from the search engines.

Gear your website to make money

Creating and retaining traffic alone will not make your site more profits. You also need to be able to influence your visitors to make a profitable action. To do this you must make it easy for your visitors to do what you want them to do. If you make your potential customers jump through hoops to make you money, you’ll find that you are not realising your full profit making potential.

You’ll need to keep your site clean, but you also need to get their attention to key areas of your web page that encourage them to make a profitable action. You can do this by changing the contrast, color, style and/or font. Try different ways to draw attention to get your visitors to do what you want on different pages.

The number of methods you can use to increase customer action seems endless. A few of the many worthy mentionables are branding, cross promotion, A/B testing and improving your call-to-action. Remember, the higher the rate of visitor to customer conversion the more revenue your website will receive.

Partner with an Expert

Too often we look to do our web design and marketing ourselves, and sometimes as a result, we lose more money than we save. Unless you’re dedicated and experienced in this area of specialties, you will find yourself beneath your competition when it comes to building an effective website.

Secrets of the Internet Marketing Silver Bullet

Friday, November 20th, 2009

The search for an internet marketing “silver bullet” is a journey that is filled with a long line of challenges that most people don’t realize when they first get started. The road is a confusing series of twists and turns and anyone who ventures forward has to make their way through a vanity fair of scam artists trying to sell you their latest worry-free money-making wonder widget with the idea of separating you and the contents of your wallet. Navigating through this unscrupulous maze is often enough to make the most staunch of online adventurers to give up the chase altogether.

So why do we keep going and what are we hoping to discover?

I did a recent survey where I polled a list of 3000 internet marketers and asked them to list the main things they look for when considering a new program or online business opportunity. The responses I received were very telling about the most people have while working online.

The top response to the survey shouldn’t be much of a surprise, but it is amazing how many times this fundamental element is missing in internet promotions. When this ingredient is present, the rest of the journey is relatively easy. When it’s not there, however, it’s virtually impossible to be successful. The number one thing that most people are looking for is honesty.

The majority of people who are working on the internet to earn some extra cash have been taken by at least one scam along the way. The program makes promises that suddenly disappear once your payment has gone through. These hucksters are often very skilled at deceit and deception and their copywriting skills and near-hypnotic persuasion methods convince the unwary traveler to pull out their credit card and enter the information into the form. After hitting the submit button they are often left with little more than a glop of worthless cyber-poo or, on the other end of the spectrum, as overly complicated “system” that managed to take hours and hours of your time without really teaching you anything worthwhile.

When someone is thinking about ordering your product or joining your business opportunity, the most important thing that they are concerned about is whether or not you are honest. In some cases, people are almost half-way expecting your offer to be a some sort of scam. The reality is that even though you are honest and would never even dream of doing anything unethical, it is absolutely imperative that you demonstrate to people that you are honest and that you can be trusted. If you are unable to do this, the majority of people will simply not do business with you.

The next highest answer to the survey was that people are interested in finding someone who is willing to help them when they have questions about the program. This doesn’t necessarily mean that all of your time is committed to taking care of customer support, but it does mean that you should be available to help people when they need it and have an easily accessible system of communication in place. In most cases, just purchasing and installing a good “support desk” software program can handle most of these issues.

The bottom line is that people want to be treated with respect. Many marketers forget what it was like when they first got started online. They forget that people don’t yet know some of the things that they now take for granted. As a result, they often use terms or refer to processes that are completely foreign and confusing to the person just starting out. Having someone willing to help them to understand the material or a particular process is invaluable.

If you are honest and can offer real help to people in your online marketing, your business will soon be in high demand. These foundational qualities are sadly rare inside the vanity fair of internet marketing, but when they are present they serve as a bright and guiding light that will attract a huge and loyal following. As a result, your online business will be quickly grow and prosper.

Using Pay Per Click Internet Marketing – Avoid Costly Mistakes

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

If you are like most people, you may have limited experience and knowledge when starting your own network marketing business or home business using internet marketing. As you set up your business and apply your first internet marketing strategies you can make a few mistakes that could not only cost you money but also cost you motivation and confidence.

One of those mistakes is using pay per click marketing without adequate knowledge.

I’m not saying that you should become a theoretical pro before you start marketing your business, but you must learn as much as you can as early as you can. When you start marketing your business online, you are likely to use pay per click marketing as it is a very efficient strategy to bring traffic immediately. The problem is that the less you know and apply the right tactics with pay per click marketing, the more it will cost you! Amateur pay per click marketing can be very damaging to your finances in 3 different ways:

1. It will cost you more to be placed in a good position on the search engines
2. You may receive a lot of traffic, but only poor quality leads (quantity vs. quality)
3. Your ads may be performing poorly, and therefore you may have no traffic, no leads, and no income as a result.

I was really pleased when at first I saw how many people were driven to my ads and my website: I was getting great click through rates, my ads were performing well, and many people were even taking the next step on my website and entering their details. BUT, I realised after an expensive month generating more than 1000 clicks and more than 100 leads that I was speaking to the wrong people. Sure, people were interested in learning more about my business, products and opportunity, but where were all the seriously determined entrepreneur-minded people I was truly looking for? I did get a few great leads out of these numbers, but the truth is, it cost me a lot more time, money and energy than it should have, and in the process the people I was really looking for probably didn’t even see my ads.

There are plenty of resources to help you learn how to use pay per click marketing effectively, how to improve your website ranking, and how to reach the right audience and get quality leads. The bottom line is, the less you learn about those principles and techniques, the more it will cost you and the less it will pay off.

I have some recommendations for tackling pay per click marketing when you start marketing your business online:

1. Learn the basics on pay per click marketing – this is a must! Perry Marshall has a ‘Definitive Guide To Google Adwords’ which is easy to understand yet comprehensive, and will help you set up your ads and analyse your results.

2. Get some basic knowledge on how websites are picked up and ranked by search engines. You need this so that you can choose an effective title, description, keywords, content and links for your website.

3. Continue learning step by step and applying new tactics. Again, get the basics before you do anything (it may be worth studying another week or two before you start to advertise), and then get into the more sophisticated stuff. Never leave your active campaigns fixed or worse, unattended. Test your ads and always analyse your results so that you can improve them. The internet is constantly changing and what works today may not work next month.

4. Define your target audience. Design your ads to talk to them. Ask yourself if your ads could be misinterpreted, unclear or misleading – this is how you get the wrong people to click on your ads (and pay for it). Also make sure that the content on your website targets the right people; even though you have already paid for a click, you still don’t want to waste your time calling the wrong prospects. Basically, use the content on your website to help people pre-qualify themselves before signing up.

5. Record and analyse statistics on your leads. How many were not actually looking for your type of product or business? How many were not serious candidates? How many quality leads resulted from your efforts and investment? How much did each lead cost you? Find out what works and what doesn’t work and change your marketing strategies accordingly.

6. Consider that getting less traffic (in particular the paid one) can be a positive thing. Put simply, you don’t want to spend money on bad leads. Quality is more cost-effective and will bring better results than quantity. Hit and miss is not cost-effective.

7. You may consider using the services of an expert marketer until you have sufficient knowledge to create campaigns that will generate quality leads. You may have access to a marketing cooperative within your group or company for example. Be cautious however about purchasing leads or name lists from a third party, as you may not know the nature, origin or quality of those leads.

Where To Get Easy One Way Links

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Web publishers know that inbound links are the key to better traffic. Links inform search engines, so when you have more inbound links, you become more popular. Higher quality links will move your site up in the keyword search results. Some back links are better than others. One-way links from authoritative sites with a high page rank are the best kind.

Inbound links are vital to improving traffic to your web site. Inbound links improve your site’s rankings for organic searches and provide a secondary path for visitors to find you. Links from high traffic, authoritative sites are more valuable than other links, therefore most SEO campaigns seek to build high quality, one-way links to your web site.

One of the best and simplest ways to accumulate one-way inbound links to your web site is to list it in web directories. Some of the better ones are the Open Directory Project, Yahoo and the Authority Directory.

The ODP is free to submit, but it could take a while to get reviewed. In addition, the percentage of those accepted there is low. Yahoo’s directory takes only about seven days for review but costs $299 per year. The fee at Yahoo is non-refundable and acceptance is not guaranteed there either. The AuthorityDirectory.com charges a small annual fee and review is generally completed within a much faster 48 hours. Your site is not guaranteed acceptance at the Authority Directory either, but in most cases they refund the fee if your site is not accepted.

Exchanging links with other sites is a much riskier way of collecting links. If you exchange a link with a banned site, it can hurt your site’s popularity or get it banned from a search engine. Google and other search engines have said they are devaluing reciprocal links.

Link-building is an ongoing process that’s crucial to ranking highly in the search engines. Link popularity can place your site on the first page of search results or not at all. Inbound links can bring traffic to your site in two different ways: 1) via click-through traffic and 2) via better organic results in search engines.

WARNING: Doing a Site Submit can actually slow your search engine optimization. Come to our site to learn how to get found by Google in less than 3 days.

One Way Links: The Good The Bad The Ugly

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

When you are putting your work on the internet, one of the first things that you will need to think about is how people are going to find it! While of course you will do link exchanges with people that you know and with whom you do a great deal of business, you’ll find that one thing that you need to think about is getting the attention of the search engines. When you take into account the fact that many people will go to their search engine the tiny that they need some information or to spend some currency online, it is easy to see that drawing the search engine’s attention to your site and improving your ratings is something that is vital to do.

You’ll find that one major way of doing this is with one way links and with some more information about this, you’ll see exactly why.

A one way link, put most simply, is a link that someone uses to link to you without your linking back. in actual fact, this “”proves”" to the search engine that your content is compelling enough that people will link to your site without being paid anything in return for it. This means that things like link exchanges do not help you when it comes to putting up one way links. While they won’t hurt you and they can in fact bring more people to your site, you’ll find that they will do nothing at all for your search engine listings.

When you work on one way links and what they can do for you, you’ll find that you are working on link building, which is something that is very important; link edifice draws people to your site via the use of the search engines and when you think about how few people even bother to look on the second page of their search, you’ll see why your position and your placement is so important. Link building helps you nudge your website higher up in the rankings, something that integral to building up a good web occurrence.

You should also be attentive, however, that there are some disadvantages to one way links. Mostly, this has to do with the fact that they can be difficult to execute appropriately. One service that many people will attempt to use is a triangular linking service. For a small fee, you can have your link put up on other people’s websites, and you will host links from other people. Because of this, it is not a link exchange because the people who are hosting your link and the ones whose link you are hosting are different. While this sounds good, it is important to remember that this can be costly in terms of money and there is also the chance that this activity can end up making you look like you are link spamming, which will ultimately drop your search engine rating even further.

If you are thinking of a good clarification when it comes to one way links and what you can do with them, make sure that you look at article directories, blog remarks, and industry specific directory listings.

If you go to each search engine and do a Site Submit you will slow down your SEO results. Our program gets you indexed within 3 days in Google without doing any site submission.

6 Internet Marketing Tools For Your Business

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

There’s no question that the Internet gives an excellent opportunity for those who have the entrepreneurial spirit. If you want to build a successful online business then you must have the right Internet marketing tools.

Back in the days, setting up a website and making huge money online is very easy but this time you will have to work very hard. Let’s take a look at some of the tools you will need so you can build your online business with the right foundation.

Comprehensive Action Plan

Most of the people will get scammed in buying rehashed guides that’s why you have to read product reviews and forum discussions to see if the program is right for you. The basic promotional methods that you will basically encounter is methods on article marketing and pay per click guides.

Web Hosting Plan

A web host will allow you to upload and store your web pages so people can access and use your website. There are so many different hosting plans that you can get at less than $10 per month but hosting is free inside Wealthy Affiliate. You can read my Wealthy Affiliate review in case you’re interested.

Domain Name

After your hosting is all setup then you need to get some domain names. It’s really not that hard and the process is fairly straightforward. You can based your domain names from keywords or you can give your own brand name if you like.

Website Creator

There are many people who are intimidated with the idea of building websites. Luckily there are many software that will give you the ability to put up websites in a few minutes with relative ease.

Keyword Tool

You won’t really survive in this business without using any keyword tools. They allow you to find the keywords that people are using if they want to solve their problems or if they’re looking for pleasure. There are free and paid keyword tools but you must keep in mind that your brain is the most powerful keyword tool.

Mailing System

An auto responder or a mailing system gives you the ability to collect emails of your visitors. Basically you provide a good incentive (a bonus) and people can get this bonus if they provide you with their emails. I’ve been using Aweber and so far they are doing a good job of automating everything.
